Just a “heads-up” to fellow CSA sailors that the 5th Annual PYC Veterans Regatta is scheduled for September 29. It is a fun event and will include a FUN’d Race in which you can purchase positive points for your own or negative points against a competitor’s boat. The winning boat will receive a free lift and pressure wash from Pontchartrain Yacht Works ($600 value for a 30 footer). There is more and a flyer is attached, but basically as a CSA member you are invited; wrist bands which will entitle the bearer to food & a regatta shirt will be issued to referred Veterans and registered boat skippers. All others will be at nominal cost.
If you plan on attending, particularly if you are a Veteran, please let me know.
If you would like to participate with the planning, setup, recruiting skippers (there must be a veteran onboard to win), we have our next meeting on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 pm at PYC.
